    Curator Summary
    Encodes an enzyme with 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase/C4-decarboxylase activity in vitro. The activity of the enzyme was determined using microsomal extracts of yeast overexpressing the Arabidopsis gene. Cytosolic fractions failed to be associated to the activity, leading to the speculation that the enzyme is membrane-bound.
