This enzyme is not expected to participate in jasmonic acid biosynthesis because during in vitro assays, it shows very little activity with the naturally occurring OPDA isomer. Shows activity towards 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene. Expressed predominately in root. Predicted to be a cytosolic protein.
